2008 Dance Themes

For the past several years our camp dance themes have varied from holidays to eras to obscure concepts that have left well-intentioned moms and dads scratching their heads in frustration. This year we’re keeping it simple and going with colors. How easy is that?

NCSU: TICKLED PINK? Don’t groan guys, pink is the newest manly color, and ladies, what can we say?  You probably don’t even need to buy anything new – oh, wait, that’s probably a bad thing

An alternate activity for the younger camper is a carnival with games and prizes.

VT: ORANGE YOU GLAD? OK, we figured everybody that comes to VT probably has some VT wear somewhere in their closet already and if you decide to pair your orange with, oh, say, maroon, who are we to complain?

UNCG - Week 1: AM I BLUE?. Blue, the color of loyalty – true blue. Blue eyes, blue skies, blueberry pies, make you glad you’re alive. Go BLUE!

College of William and Mary: GREEN WITH ENVY. Ah green, the color of nature. Tranquil, soothing, goes-with-everything green.  Your friends will be so jealous!

George Mason University: YIKES STRIPES! While not technically a color, stripes are still fun. Horizontal, vertical or even diagonal: put enough of them together and it will make your head spin.

UNCG - Week 2: BLACK AND WHITE. For our last dance of the year everybody likes to get all dressed up and show off, so we’re not going to disappoint. Who doesn’t enjoy seeing a bunch of ten-year-olds dressed in tuxes and white gowns?  Just kidding, mom and dad, t-shirts and shorts will do just fine but if you want to go all out, we won’t tell you no.
